VPRS 10540 Court Of Petty Sessions Suitors Cash Book

This series consists of a Suitors Cash Book. On the lefthand side of each double page are recorded payments made by the defendant in a suit as ordered by the court. On the righthand page are recorded disbursements by the court to the plaintiff to whom payments had been awarded by the court. This record was used for the collection and disbursement of payments awarded in civil suits and suits for maintenance.Subject to further research.
