The Great Coco Reef is situated in the northern part of the Coco Islands, belonging to the South Yangon District, Yangon Region, Myanmar. It borders the Bay of Bengal to the west and the Andaman Sea to the east. Geographically, it is 76 km away from Preparis Island across the Preparis North Channel to the north, and 15 km away from Little Coco Island across the Alexandra Channel to the southwest. Its geographic coordinates range from 14°2′49″N to 14°11′36″N, and 93°21′9″E to 93°22′57″E. The Great Coco Reef is composed of 5 islands, with the main ones being Slipper Island, Table Island, Great Coco Island, and Jerry Island. Among them, Great Coco Island is the largest, with an area of 14.63 km². The total terrestrial area of the Great Coco Reef is 16.13 km², and the total length of its coastline is 38.66 km. The dataset of the Great Coco Reef was developed based on Google Earth satellite imagery and maps pertaining to Myanmar and the Coco Islands. It comprises 15 data files, stored in .kmz and .shp formats, with an original size of 255 KB (compressed into 2 data files with a size of 108 KB).
