资源简介:

This study explores the underlying dimensions of well-being in older adults through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and principal component analysis (PCA), identifying critical factors that contribute to emotional and social well-being. Findings revealed dimensions such as Personal Satisfaction and Fulfillment, Autonomy and Self-esteem, Adaptability and Personal Growth, Social Support and Relationships, and Resilience and Stress Management. These dimensions align with and extend existing theories on well-being in old age, providing an empirical basis for more effective intervention development. The study supports the multidimensionality of well-being in older adults, emphasizing the importance of multifaceted approaches in its promotion. Future interventions should consider these dimensions to design more personalized and effective programs aimed at improving the quality of life for older adults. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of well-being in old age, aligning with and expanding previous theories through a rigorous methodological approach.
