In this study, to identify whether the CrPHT3 gene participates in the uptake regulation of As in algae, further evaluating the responsive mechanism of the arsenate tolerance in the Chlamydomonas reinhardtii Crpht3 mutant under arsenic stress, both the wild type Chlamydomonas reinhardtiis and the Crpht3 mutant were cultured and investigated by profiling the accumulation of arsenate and phosphorus sharing the same uptake pathway in response to arsenic stress.
