Historic Commerce Waters - Flowlines

<div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>To enable comparison of the location of a proposed discharge of dredged or fill material into several rivers and lakes where Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting is not retained by the Corps but where a Corps Rivers and Harbor Act Section 10 permit may still be required. This is 1 of 2 datasets that together depict certain rivers and lakes. This dataset provides the Flowline (e.g., if the river is wide, will be a line roughly down the center). The other dataset is the Waterbody (e.g., lakes). These several rivers and lakes are on the Corps published navigable waters list, however, because the basis is soley historic commerce, are not on the Retained Waters List for State of Florida's assumption of permitting under Section 404(g) of the Clean Water Act. This dataset was created to enable the staff of the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to perform such a comparison upon receipt of a request for Section 404 authorization. This would trigger a determination whether a Section 10 authorization would also be required. The lines and boundaries in this dataset are approximate and not survey grade geometry. Further refinements to this dataset will be made for accuracy, completeness and ease of use.</span></p></div></div></div>
