Final report on the diversity of the Mountain Zebra National Park, South Africa (Arachnida: Araneae)

Two checklists have previously been published from the Mountain Zebra National Park. In 1988, only 32 species were recognised and in 2006, 43 species. In this final report, we list 150 species from 38 families, increasing the number of species recog-nised with 107 species. For the first time, we provide information on the endemicity and conservation status of the 150 species. The family Gnaphosidae was the most diverse with 17 species sampled, followed by the Salticidae with 15 species, and Thomisidae with 14. Ten of the families are known only from a single species. This is an inventory project of the South African National Survey of Arachnida (SANSA).
