Dataset of Early-life Organic Infant Feeding

Data were collected at baseline, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months and 8 months. Medical examinations, anthropometric measurements, questionnaire surveys, and fecal sample collections were conducted to collect data. Baseline characteristics including maternal lifestyle factors, pregnancy and delivery information, and family socioeconomic status were collected at baseline. During follow-up, infant anthropometric measurements, including length, weight, and head circumference, were obtained by trained physicians using standardized measurement protocols. Z-scores for weight-for-age (WAZ), length-for-age (LAZ), head circumference-for-age (HCZ), and weight-for-length (WLZ) were calculated using the World Health Organization (WHO) growth standards via the R package “anthro.” Fecal samples collected during follow-up were immediately stored at −80°C in the institutional biobank following collection. Fecal samples were analyzed using 16S rRNA sequencing to obtain gut microbiota composition data. Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry was used to perform metabolomics analysis.
