Spectra to Accompany "CHARA Array Observations of the Evolved Components in Symbiotic Star Systems"
收藏资源简介:
Overview These files contain the reduced, calibrated, telluric-corrected spectra used in Gaudin et al. (2026) "CHARA Array Observations of the Evolved Components in Symbiotic Star Systems". These spectra were collected with the SpeX instrument on the NASA IRTF and were reduced using Spextool. In the paper, they were used for stellar parameter determination using the tool Starfish (https://starfish.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html). File info Name key: OBJECTNAME_MODE_merged_DATE.extension where "merged" means that the spectra are order-merged and DATE is the UTC date of data collection. SU_Lyn_merged_2021_11_26.h5 contains both SXD and LXD data and the rest contain only SXD. LXD was not used for the spectral inference in the paper. Reduction provenance, including information on the A0 V telluric standards, airmass, wavelength calibration, individual exposures, and order-merging operations, is available in the file headers/attributes and comment/history metadata. Raw data can be found at the NASA/IPAC Infrared Science Archive: https://irtfweb.ifa.hawaii.edu/research/irtf_data_archive.php Data formats are HDF5 except EG_And_SXD_merged_2021_09_02.fits which is a FITS file. Files can be read using your preferred tool for accessing these formats, e.g. in Python: h5py and astropy.io.fits or in Julia: HDF5 and FITSIO.jl Data Format & Structure 1. HDF5 The data are stored in /PRIMARY/DATA. The arrangement depends on your reader and is either $4\times\text{N}$ or $\text{N}\times 4$ with four quantities. 1: Wavelength ($\mu\text{m}$). 2: Flux Density: ($F_\lambda$) in physical units of $\mathrm{erg\,s^{-1}\,cm^{-2}\,\text{Å}^{-1}}$. 3: Uncertainty: $1\sigma$ statistical standard deviation on the flux density ($\sigma_{F_\lambda}$), same units as flux density. 4: An additional quanitiy that is zero-valued. 2. FITS The primary HDU Array contains the same four quantities as in the HDF5 files. 1: Wavelength ($\mu\text{m}$). 2: Flux Density: ($F_\lambda$) in physical units of $\mathrm{erg\,s^{-1}\,cm^{-2}\,\text{Å}^{-1}}$. 3: Uncertainty: $1\sigma$ statistical standard deviation on the flux density ($\sigma_{F_\lambda}$), same units as flux density. 4: An additional quanitiy that is zero-valued.
