收集整理西北干旱区分辨率高于10 a的过去千年高分辨率水文气候代用记录,利用平方弦距(Squared chord distance, SCD)等方法,集成得到表征水文气候变率的指标序列,用以评估研究区中世纪暖期和小冰期水文气候变化特征。结果发现西北干旱区小冰期水文气候变率(幅度、频率)明显大于中世纪暖期(2895条记录)。
We collected and curated high-resolution hydrological and climatic proxy records spanning the past millennium from the Northwest Arid Region of China, with a resolution exceeding 10 years. Using methods including Squared Chord Distance (SCD), we integrated these records to develop index series that characterize hydrological and climatic variability, which were employed to assess the characteristics of hydrological and climatic changes during the Medieval Warm Period and the Little Ice Age in the study area. The results show that the hydrological and climatic variability (including amplitude and frequency) during the Little Ice Age in the Northwest Arid Region was significantly greater than that during the Medieval Warm Period, based on 2895 records.
