2026 NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer mapping systems readiness report

This document describes the acoustic mapping hardware and software capabilities of NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer, and the performance evaluations undertaken by NOAA Ocean Exploration in preparation for the 2026 field season. For further information about general equipment calibration procedures, data acquisition, processing, reporting, and archiving see the "NOAA Ocean Exploration Deepwater Exploration Mapping Procedures Manual" (Hoy et al., 2020). Supporting documentation may be added to this report throughout the year if needed, such as mid-season equipment calibrations. Please ensure to review all supporting documentation for updated calibrations and/or other equipment documentation.
