Noise-Tagging Stimulus Sequences

We tested several different modulated and unmodulated stimulus sequences (m-sequences, Gold codes, de Bruijn sequences, Golay sequences) that elicit code-modulated visual evoked potentials (c-VEP) for a speller brain-computer interface (BCI). Additionally, we recorded non-overlapping flash-VEPs of various durations and inter-stimulus intervals, resting state (eyes open and closed), and several behavioural assessments (user comfort and SART). The aim is to investigate several known c-VEP BCI protocols, improve the state-of-the-art, and test factors that may hold predictive value for c-VEP BCI performance.
