grid. A new electricity grid layer was compiled by using multiple
sources that enumerates elements of the existing transmission and
distribution network. These sources include Open Street Map, the Word Bank
datasets, Arderne et
al., the Economic
Community of West African States Observatory for Renewable Energy and Energy
Efficiency, and from rural
electrification agencies/EU delegations in Africa (Burkina Faso, Kenya, Tanzania).
