Geographical coordinates and biometric data of jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) in Ilha Grande, RJ, Brazil

Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam., Moraceae) is one of the most conspicuous invasive plants in Brazil. We studied jackfruit invasion on an island (Ilha Grande State Park), in the Atlantic Forest, by assessing jackfruit distribution and density along 23 trails (90 km) on the island. Presence or absence was verified in a total of 857 plots. The data refers to the article "Invasion by Artocarpus heterophyllus (Moraceae) on an island in the Atlantic Forest Biome, Brazil: distribution at the landscape level, density and need for control" published in the Journal of Coastal Conservation (DOI 10.1007/s11852-016-0429-9) by Helena Godoy Bergallo, Ana Carolina Bergallo, Henrique Bergallo Rocha and Carlos Frederico Duarte Rocha. 波罗蜜（*Artocarpus heterophyllus* Lam., 桑科Moraceae）是巴西境内最具代表性的入侵植物之一。本研究针对大西洋森林区域内的大岛州立公园（Ilha Grande State Park）开展波罗蜜入侵生态学调查：沿该岛23条总长90千米的步道布设样带，评估波罗蜜的空间分布格局与种群密度，并对共计857个样方的入侵发生情况（有/无）进行了核实。本数据集源自发表于《Journal of Coastal Conservation》（DOI: 10.1007/s11852-016-0429-9）的学术论文《巴西大西洋森林生物群落某岛屿内波罗蜜（桑科）入侵：景观尺度分布、种群密度及防控需求》，作者为Helena Godoy Bergallo、Ana Carolina Bergallo、Henrique Bergallo Rocha与Carlos Frederico Duarte Rocha。使用本数据集需征得数据包负责人Helena Godoy Bergallo的许可，且在依托该数据发表的学术成果中，需正确标注引用来源，并向PPBio仓储提供的资助方致以谢忱。
