Sweep Net Dataset

On Tuesday September 30th this data was collected by Sangavi Chelvanathan at Saywell Woodlot and the grassland found East of Stong pond both located at York University Keele campus. The temperature was 20°C and it was a slightly rainy weather. A 100ft transect tape was laid down in the grasslands in a relatively straight line and a sweep net was used by the experimenter who walked along the transect and collected any insects on this transect for 15 meters. There were 10 trials done and each took about 1 minute each. The same experiment was done at Saywell Woodlot.本研究数据于9月30日周二由Sangavi Chelvanathan采集，采集地点为约克大学基尔校区（York University Keele campus）内的赛维尔林地（Saywell Woodlot）与斯通池塘（Stong pond）东侧草地。当日气温为20摄氏度，天气为微雨。研究人员在草地中铺设一条相对笔直的100ft样带卷尺，沿样带步行的实验人员使用扫网采集该样带15米范围内的所有昆虫，本次采样共开展10次重复试验，每次耗时约1分钟。随后在赛维尔林地（Saywell Woodlot）重复开展了相同的采样实验。
