Dataset for "Decarbonizing ASEAN's Transport Sector: A Critical Review of Electric Vehicle and Biofuel Policy Pathways"

This dataset accompanies the article “Decarbonizing ASEAN’s Transport Sector: A Critical Review of Electric Vehicle and Biofuel Policy Pathways.” It contains compiled data tables, figures, and references used to analyze national electric vehicle (EV) and biofuel policies across ASEAN member states from 2010 to 2025. The dataset includes quantitative indicators (EV stock, charging stations, biofuel production volumes, blending ratios, and energy use) and qualitative policy attributes (targets, incentives, and institutional frameworks). Data were collected from peer-reviewed publications, official ASEAN and national reports, and international databases such as the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), IEA, ERIA, and ADB. The files support Tables 1–7 and Figures 1–6 in the publication, enabling reproducibility and comparative policy analysis. All data are secondary and publicly available. The dataset is shared under a CC BY 4.0 license to encourage reuse in research on transport decarbonization, sustainable mobility, and regional energy transitions.
