Madagascar (2006): TRaC Study Evaluating the Use of Modern Contraceptive Methods among Women of Reproductive Age. Second Round.

The present study was a follow-up to a baseline household survey conducted in October and November 2004 to investigate family planning practices for a representative sample of women 15-49 years of age. Women aged 15 and 49 years old from all regions of the country participated in the study. Multi-stage stratified sampling was used in both surveys. For the two cross sectional surveys, PSI/M used the methodology of project TRaC, which survey systematically and repeatedly measure levels and trends of indicators such as exposure to social marketing interventions, behaviors and behavioral determinants. The behavioral determinants of the PSI Behavior Change framework are categorised in terms of opportunity, ability and motivation (OAM).
