Rare earth elements recovery from wastewater in floating treatment wetland systems

This dataset contains the results of rare earth elements recovery from wastewater in floating treatment wetland (FTW) systems. Juncus inflexus sp. was used as an emerging macrophyte on FTW. Three different rare earth elements (REE) mixtures were tested: (1) Gd, (2) La+Ce, (3) Y+Sc. The primary objectives of this study were to examine 1) the nutrient removal efficiencies in REE-loaded reactors, 2) the potential toxicity of REE to the selected hydrophyte species, 3) REE removal from wastewater, and 4) REE accumulation in the plant.
