ZIP folder containing the data required to reproduce the findings of the associated publication about the development of a heat treatment resulting in grain boundary gamma prime in novel Ni-based superalloys, and the resulting mechanical properties. This dataset includes: The heat treatment route (Fig 1., .xlsx); Backscattered scanning electron microscopy images of the microstructure and data regarding precipitate size (Figs. 2, 3 and 7, .tif and .csv); Electron backscattered diffraction data, projects, and resulting images of the microstructure (Figs 4 and 6, .iop, .iopx, .dat, .h5oina, .csv, .ipynb, requiring AZtec crystal); Secondary electron scanning electron microscopy images, and models used to classify the precipitate images using the ImageJ/Fiji Trainable Weka Segmentation plug-in to extract the diameter and volume fraction (Fig 5, .tif, .arff, .model, requiring Fiji/ImageJ); Tensile testing data of different microstructures (Fig 8, .pdf, .docx); Dwell fatigue data of different microstructures (Fig 9, .xlsx); Thermodynamic model of the homogeneous nuclation energy for this alloy with temperature as calculated with Calphad (Fig 10, .xlsx, .tcu requiring Thermo-calc).
