Supplementary Table S1

This supplementart table to the article 'Convergences and divergences in operationalizing the health-related indicators of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development' (Silveira et al.) aims at clarifying the convergences
and divergences in the operationalization of the health-related SDG indicators according
to five key global institutions: the World Health Organization (WHO), the World
Bank (WB), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the Global Board of
Disease (GBD), and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). The compiled list of health-related
indicators goes beyond those in SDG 3 – “Ensuring a healthy life and promoting
well-being at all ages” – and its 13 targets and 27 indicators – to encompass a
total of 60 indicators (in 38 targets
and 8 goals) that these institutions associate with health. The analysis
spans the themes covered and
metrics of the indicators presented both in the institutions’ lists and online
platforms, confronting their choices with the official SDG indicators
and the operationalized indicators in the official dissemination platform (UNDESA). Understanding where the views of
these institutions diverge and converge lend important insights for the strategic
organization of the international community for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda’s
health targets.
