Underground Injection Control (UIC) Class I Wells

This is a statewide GIS layer representing all Class I Underground Injection Control (UIC) wells in Florida that are currently or previously active. Class I UIC wells are used to inject nonhazardous waste, hazardous waste (new hazardous waste wells were banned in 1983), or municipal waste below the lowermost underground source of drinking water (USDW). A USDW is defined as an aquifer that contains a total dissolved solids concentration of less than 10,000 milligrams per liter.本数据集为覆盖佛罗里达州全境的地理信息系统（GIS）图层，涵盖该州当前或既往处于启用状态的全部第一类地下注入控制（UIC）井。第一类地下注入控制井用于向最下层地下饮用水源（Underground Source of Drinking Water，USDW）以下层位注入非危险废物、危险废物（1983年起禁止新建危险废物注入井）或市政废物。其中，地下饮用水源的定义为总溶解固体浓度低于10000毫克/升的含水层。
