The proposed experiment aims to develop and test Dichroic Bragg Coherent Diffraction Imaging (DBCDI), an underutilized technique for magnetic nanostructure characterisation. Bragg Coherent Diffraction Imaging (BCDI) has proven valuable for structural characterisation of various nanostruc-tures, particularly in energy materials and, to a lesser extent, semiconductors. While BCDI has been applied to magnetic materials, prior studies have been limited by reconstruction algorithm constraints. This experiment will characterise magnetised NiFe nanoparticles using BCDI with X-ray beams tuned to element-specific K edges and different incident polarisations, enabled by the integrated diamond phase plate polarisers at beamline ID01. The primary goal is to demonstrate the feasibility of DBCDI for magnetic characterisation. Once established, the technique will enable combined structural and magnetic studies of nanostructures.
