BDSL 49

BDSL 49是由亚洲太平洋大学计算机科学与工程系创建的综合性孟加拉手语数据集，包含29,490张手势图像，涵盖49个孟加拉字母标签。数据集通过智能手机摄像头捕捉14名成年人的手势，经过精心处理以减少噪声，并分为检测和识别两个子集。该数据集旨在通过机器学习、计算机视觉和自然语言处理技术，改善聋哑人士与非聋哑人士之间的沟通，同时也可用于智能手机应用等实时手势识别系统。

BDSL 49 is a comprehensive Bengali Sign Language dataset created by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Asia Pacific University. It consists of 29,490 gesture images spanning 49 Bengali alphabet labels. Gestures from 14 adult participants were captured via smartphone cameras, then meticulously processed to reduce noise, and divided into two subsets for detection and recognition tasks. This dataset aims to improve communication between deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and non-deaf people through machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing technologies, and can also be applied to real-time gesture recognition systems such as smartphone applications.
