Summary of known microRNAs. Number of sequence reads was determined with either counts from known microRNA sequence search (Seq search) or miRDeep output, using the highest number of reads for that sequence. Listed genomic locations for mature microRNA sequences are relative to RefSeq annotated transcripts in UCSC genome browser (hg38). For mature microRNA sequences spanning both introns and coding region, or UTR or coding of alternative transcripts, sequence is listed in coding region. Conservation to human (H), chimp (C), rhesus monkey (R), dog (D), mouse (M), and zebrafish (Z) are listed. Conservation of mature microRNA sequence indicates exact sequence alignment in listed species, allowing for up to one base mismatch outside of the microRNA seed sequence (nucleotides 2â 8), and no mismatches within the seed sequence.
