Water samples were collected from the Onega River (63°49'49.36\" N, 38°27'42.12\" ) between July 2018 and January 2020 (n = 19) and analyzed for absorbance and fluorescence, DOC concentration, and DOM composition using Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass. These data were used to examine the composition of DOM in the Onega River in Western Russia to assess how DOM dynamics in this relatively small northern high-latitude constrained riverine system compares with medium- and large-sized Arctic watersheds
