This study characterizes the dynamic gene expression landscape of marine medaka (Oryzias melastigma) during early embryonic development. We performed RNA sequencing on samples collected at 10 representative developmental stages, including the 1-cell, 2-cell, and 4-cell stages, morula, high blastula, low blastula, early gastrula, mid gastrula, late gastrula, and pre-hatching stages. This high-density sampling strategy covers critical developmental events such as the maternal-to-zygotic transition (MZT) and gastrulation. The dataset aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms governing early teleost development and to identify stage-specific regulatory networks.
