Brisbane City Council is proud to offer over 2,180 parks across the city – each designed to bring people together, and support active, healthy lifestyles. Whether you're chasing thrills at one of our popular parks or relaxing at your local playground, there’s something for everyone. Our parks range in size from small local parks to large district parks, botanic gardens and significant plant collections, and many bushland reserves. While most activities in parks do not need Council approval, you may need consent or approval to book part of a park for exclusive use. The Application Service Type attribute in this dataset includes four types of bookings: Commercial Activity in a Park Application – Booking for commercial activity in a park includes any paid or profit-making activity carried out in a Council park or reserve Park Booking Application – Booking for a park site to reserve a space for a private event Temporary Access through Council Parkland for Private Works – Booking for vehicle access to Council parkland to access private property or conduct works within the park Council Scheduling Constraint – Bookings for other purposes.
