The New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) collects daily data on the number of bicyclists crossing bridges in New York City. This data is used to measure bicycle utilization as part of the city's transportation planning initiatives. This dataset records, on a daily basis, the volume of bicyclists traveling to and from Manhattan via one of the East River bridges, excluding the Bronx Expressway and the bicycle-prohibited Hudson River tunnels, over a 9-month period.
