This dataset comprises electroencephalography (EEG) recordings from 30 participants experiencing vection in virtual reality (VR). Participants were exposed to visual stimuli inducing forward or backward acceleration. EEG signals were captured using 14 channels, with a sampling rate of 512 Hz. The dataset includes both raw EEG and questionaire responses. Additionally, subjective ratings of vection intensity are provided for each participant after each trial. The data is in the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) format, with the EEG recordings in the European Data Fromat (EDF). Subject and EEG metadata is sometimes duplicated for compatibility with common processing libraries like MNE. This dataset supports research on the neural correlates of vection and cybersickness, facilitating the development of objective measures and enhanced VR experiences.
