Curated Dataset of Human Body-Site Prevalence of Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella aerogenes, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (1996–2026)
收藏资源简介:
In the accompanying spreadsheet we systematically curated and harmonized literature and genomic datasets (1996–2026) mapping the human body-site prevalence of three key ESKAPE pathogens: Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella aerogenes, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Our meta-synthesis of across dozens of validation cohorts exposes severe epidemiological data asymmetries. While K. pneumoniae displays highly variable baseline colonization across the gut (up to 16.3%) and upper airways (3.4%–52%), true community-carriage prevalence data for K. aerogenes remains a critical scientific blind spot, almost exclusively restricted to isolated ICU outbreak tracking. Furthermore, while P. aeruginosa lower-airway dynamics are well-documented in chronic pulmonary pathologies (e.g., 5.6% in stable COPD to 34.3% in cystic fibrosis), its baseline gut-carriage landscapes and cross-niche colonization axes remain poorly defined.
