Two pieces of groundstone from Site GL-2-1-94 were washed for pollen and
protein residues. This site is an open air campsite located along Whitetail
Creek. One of the groundstone artifacts exhibited two grinding surfaces; these
two grinding surfaces were treated as two separate samples. Pollen analysis is
used to provide information concerning plants processed using these pieces of
groundstone, while protein residue analysis is used to address questions
concerning use of animal resources.
