Attitude to the European Community. Topics: Judgement on general
development of the country; judgement on the financial development of
the household in the last year and expectations here for the next year;
attitude to the free market economy; judgement on the speed of economic
reforms as well as of privatization of public companies; satisfaction
with the development of democracy in the country; assessment of the
extent of respect for human rights in one´s country; attitude to the
goals and activities of the European Community; designation of the
country with which the future of one´s own country will be most closely
tied; religiousness; frequency of conducting religious activities;
ethnic origin; self-classification on a left-right continuum; feeling
as a European; intent to participate in the election; party preference.
Also encoded were: region; city size; date of interview; time of start
of interview; presence of other persons during interview; willingness
of respondent to cooperate.
