资源简介:
This study aims to investigate the longitudinal changes in oral microbiota composition among schoolchildren with different caries statuses and to examine how these microbial profiles are associated with the incidence and progression of dental caries over a 12-month period. By comparing children who initially have caries and either develop new lesions or remain caries-free, as well as children without caries who either develop caries or remain healthy, the study seeks to identify microbial patterns that may predict caries risk or resilience. Understanding these microbial dynamics is crucial for elucidating the pathogenesis of dental caries and may inform the development of targeted preventive strategies or diagnostic tools. Ultimately, this research contributes to improving oral health outcomes in children by advancing knowledge of the microbial factors involved in caries onset and progression.
