Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Kennel Lane, Billericay, Essex, 2019

This collection comprises image, text, spreadsheet and CAD data from an archaeological evaluation on land at Kennel Lane, Billericay, Essex. The work was undertaken by Archaeology South-East between October and November 2019. The site lies within the perceived extents of the Roman 'small town' at Billericay. Preceding investigations, have recorded a range of occupation remains, including burials. A preceding geophysical survey identified a number of linear anomalies of possible archaeological interest in its north and west. Eighteen of the 27 trenches contained archaeological features, comprising ditches, pits, a pond, a cobbled surface and possible structural remains.
