Stable isotope (δ¹⁸O,δ¹³C) determination from Planulina wuellerstorfi of IODP Site 363-U1482@en

We present our work on a total of 1368 sediment samples spanning the past ~3.17-1.07 Ma from Site U1482 (15°3.32ʹS, 120°26.10ʹE, water depth of 1466m), which was drilled during the International Ocean Discovery Program Expedition 363 in the Timor Passage, the main exit of the Indonesian Throughflow to the Indian Ocean. We established the first high-resolution (~1.53 kyr) Plio-Pleistocene benthic δ18O stratigraphy based on Planulina wuellerstorfi during ~3.17-1.07 Ma, and present benthic δ13C as well.本研究报道了采自帝汶通道U1482站位（南纬15°3.32′，东经120°26.10′，水深1466米）的共计1368个沉积物样品，其时间跨度覆盖约3.17百万年（Ma）至1.07百万年（Ma）的时段。该站位是国际大洋发现计划（International Ocean Discovery Program）第363次航次在帝汶通道开展钻探所获，而帝汶通道为印度尼西亚贯通流注入印度洋的主要通道。本研究基于该时段内的伍氏卷转虫（Planulina wuellerstorfi），建立了首个高分辨率（约1.53千年（kyr））的上新世-更新世（Plio-Pleistocene）底栖有孔虫δ¹⁸O地层序列，并同步提供了底栖有孔虫δ¹³C数据。
