VPRS 15730 Register of Appraisements and Revaluations

This series contains a number of lists relating to appraisals and revaluations of Crown land.The first list from 1901 to 1909 is of appraisements. Details given are the name of the occupant, the number (a file or correspondence number), the area and parish of the land and the appraisement expressed as an amount by lot or by acre.The second list is of Forest Inspections for 1908 - 1909. Details are the parish, the name, the correspondence number, the area of land and the decision made.A third list is of revaluations done under section 55 of the Land Act 1911. This section allowed holders of agricultural and grazing licences from 1903 and holders of conditional purchase leases not obtained for closer settlement to appeal against the valuation of their land. For 1912, details given for these revaluations are the parish, the date, the correspondence or file reference, the name of the occupant, the allotment and section, the old valuation of the land and the recommendation made.The final list is of land revaluations by the Land Classification Board under the Land Act 1909. Details given are the parish, the date, the correspondence or file number, the name of the occupant and the recommendation.
