Quantitative meso- and macrozooplankton records from Rectangular Midwater Trawl samples collected in the Weddell Sea (Antarctica) during RV Polarstern cruise ANT-I/2, 1983

The dataset comprises 29,550 quantitative records for 150 meso- and macrozooplankton taxa derived from 197 Rectangular Midwater Trawl (RMT1+8) samples. Abundances are reported as number of individuals per catch. Samples were predominantly collected in the southeastern and southern Weddell Sea, Antarctica, during RV Polarstern cruise ANT-I/2 in 1983 at sampling depths ranging from 0 to 489 m.
