Das Thema Macht ist in Feldern psychosozialer Arbeit, so auch in Supervision und Therapie, ein vermiedenes Sujet. Es ist riskant. Macht hat aber auch das Potential etwas zu bewegen. Die Frage ist, mit welchem Ziel. Hier wird die Sicht säkularen Meliorismus ins Spiel gebracht, die philosophische und soziologische Position einer gezielten Verbesserung sozialer Verhältnisse durch humanitäres Engagement, das auf die Potentiale von Menschen und Gruppen orientiert ist, auch um Machtmissbrauch zu verhindern. Machttheoretische und metaethische Perspektiven für psychosoziale Interventionen werden entwickelt. The theme “power” is in the psychosocial field, e. g. in supervison and therapy a neglected subject. It is risky. Power however has the potential to move something. The question is: what is the goal. Here the view of a secular meliorism is brought into view, i.e. the philosophical and sociological position that sees the melioration of social reality by human commitment, which is focusing the potentialities of persons and groups, also to prevent the misuse of power.
