<p>These tables are made available as part of a collaboration between the Environmental Public Health Tracking (Tracking) Program at the Health Department and The Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division at the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). There is also more detailed <a target='_blank' href='https://www.healthvermont.gov/sites/default/files/document/env-epht-metadata-drinking-water.pdf' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>metadata documentation</a> on the Health Department website.</p><p><strong>Annual Results Table</strong></p><p>This table contains water quality testing results for arsenic, atrazine, combined radium (-226 & -228), combined uranium, di(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEPH), nitrate, tetrachloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), total trihalomethane (TTHM), and five haloacetic acids (HAA5) for public water systems in Vermont. Data provided include the mean and maximum concentration for each analyte categorized by: not detected, less than or equal to the maximum contaminant level, or greater than the maximum contaminant level. Users can see the number of water systems and the number of people served by those water systems that fell into each of the above categories. Data are available 1999-2024.</p><p><strong>Public Water Use Table</strong></p><p>This table contains information about the total number of public water system connections and the total population served by those connections in Vermont from 1999-2025.</p><p><strong>System Level Drinking Water Data</strong></p><p>This table contains water quality testing results for arsenic, atrazine, combined radium (-226 & -228), uranium, di(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEPH), nitrate, tetrachloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), total trihalomethane (TTHM), and five haloacetic acids (HAA5) for public water systems in Vermont. Data are available for each public water system and include annual measures for the mean and maximum concentration for each contaminant along with interpretation based on whether the result is: not detected, less than or equal to the maximum contaminant level (MCL), or greater than the MCL. Data are available from 1999-2025.</p>
