Spectroscopic data for Rydberg states of various ytterbium isotopes

The dataset contains spectroscopic data for singly excited Rydberg states of ^171Yb, ^172Yb, ^173Yb, ^174Yb, and ^176Yb in the range n = 35 to n = 80. The data were obtained by two-photon excitation of ultracold Yb atoms in a magneto-optical trap. Files are labelled by the principal quantum number and the angular momentum of the observed states. Each file contains subsets for all isotopes, with the first column giving the wavenumber corresponding to the excitation energy and the second column giving the normalized ion count corresponding to the excitation probability. The Jupyter notebook “Rydberg transitions.ipynb” contains information on how to generate plots from the data.
