Data collected from multiple devices used for indoor air quality monitoring

This repository contains data collected from a variety of sensors from multiple devices that have a single purpose, to monitor how climate factors and other polluants affect indoor air quality.

Content description

The archive contains data organized in folders for each device.

Each folder contains raw and processed data, as well as descriptions and charts.

In each folder, there are two types of CSV files: one for raw data and one for processed data.

In each folder, there are two types of TXT files: one for initial description (that contains details about parameters, types of sensors etc.) and one for the description of the processing step.

Methodology

The data was collected at 5 minute intervals, using one sensor for temperature and humidity and one for TVOC and eCO2.

Types of temperature/humidity sensors used:

HTU21D

DHT11

Type of TVOC/eCO2 sensor used: CCS811

The processing step

The raw data went through a cleansing process that included:

Remove duplicate values.

Remove outliers.

Fill in missing values.

Redoing the timestamp to ensure fixed intervals of 5 minutes between two consecutive values.

For each phase of the data processing step, graphs were saved to show the effect that the processing had on the data.

More details about the processing step of each device can be found in the TXT file that contains info_processing_step. This file can be found in every folder, for every device.
