Microbiome and gene expression analysis in ApcMin/+C3arKO, C3arKO and WT mice

We investigated the microbiome profile in a spontaneous mouse model of colorectal cancer that we developed in the laboratory: the ApcMin/+C3arKO mice. These mice combine the ApcMin/+ mutation with the deficiency in the C3a complement anaphylatoxin receptor (C3ar). We performed 16S rRNA gene analysis on colon tissue (tumor or healthy tissue), fecal pellets and liver tissues of ApcMin/+C3arKO, C3arKO and WT mice at 25 weeks of age. We analyzed the whole genome sequences of four Escherichia coli isolated from colon tumor and liver tissue of ApcMin/+C3arKO mice. We evaluated the liver gene expression profile of ApcMin/+C3arKO mice treated with antibiotic or water as control.
