NRS-9401 | Homestead selection registers [Warialda Lands Office]

These registers contain a summary record of all Homestead selections in the Land District of Warialda, kept by the Warialda Lands Office.The Homestead selection tenure was introduced in 1895. Upon compliance with conditions, a perpetual lease grant could be issued to the lessee. The lease was subject to the payment of a perpetual rent, payable half-yearly.These registers record information such as: the number of the lease; name of applicant, holder or mortgagee; address of applicant; date of application; area applied for in acres; description of lease; rent lodged with application; date of transmission of papers to Board; date of investigation by Board; date of gazette; Capital value; date of Protection Order; annual rent; appraised value and nature of improvements; date of notification of lease; transfers and any further remarks.
