This 16mm film, produced by the Australian Broadcasting Commission, documents the official ceremonies marking the 150th anniversary of the granting of the Charter of Justice to new South Wales on 17 May 1824. It includes a ceremony admitting barristers to the bar and inducting solicitors, and an address to the court by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Sir John Kerr, on the values and traditions of the Court and the role of the legal practitioner in the future. This is followed by a procession to St James' Church for an Ecumenical service.
