Dataset for Beyond habitat: how anuran skin texture shapes plant dispersal in Neotropical wetlands

These datasets include raw data on plant propagules dispersed by eight anuran species in coastal wetlands of southernmost Brazil. A total of 99 individuals, out of 322 sampled, had at least one propagule adhered to their skin and were included in statistical analyses. Data include species identity, skin texture, body length (SVL, mm), habitat/matrix type (dune or grassland), and presence/abundance of plant propagules on each individual. The datasets support analyses of species-level differences in propagule richness, abundance, and composition, as well as trait-based effects (skin texture and body size) on dispersal. Data were collected with appropriate permits and include samples from both public and private properties.
