Courageous Cruise 015 Biological Data overview, 1976

This record describes the datasets obtained on Courageous Cruise 015. The data were obtained from waters off the New South Wales coast, Bass Strait and the east and southeast coast of Tasmania in December 1976. Data were obtained from acoustic and trawl surveys of Jack mackerel (Trachurus declivis) and other demersal and pelagic fish including Pennant lantern fish (Maurolicus muelleri), New Zealand whiptail, gemfish, southern frost fish, mirror dory, and ling. Catch rates, biomass, length, sex, gonad size and state, and target signal strength were determined.
