Thermobrachium celere A9, a thermophilic anaerobic bacterium, produces high amount of extracellular B-glucosidases, which effectively hydrolyze cellobiose and short-chain cello-oligosaccharides to promote cellulose degradation. However, the secretion of B-glucosidases to outside of cell is still unclear. To understand the extracellular B-glucosidases producing system by strain A9, the genome analysis was carried out.
