In this dataset, there are soil detachment rate data of 600 soil samples collected from 20 sites mainly located in the campus of Jiangxi University of Water Resources and Electric Power (in Nanchang City of China) and urban green spaces nearby. These data were collected to investigate whether two allelopathic tree species (Cinnamomum camphora and Osmanthus fragrans) would have significant impacts on the soil erosion resistance under their canopies. These data were obtained on a small-sized hydraulic flume. There are also site information including soil properties and above ground biomass of herbaceous plants.
