对流初生（Convective Initiation，CI）指卫星云图上对应多普勒天气雷达第一次检测到由对流云产生的反射率因子 ≥35 dBz 的像元。CI的产生主要表现为云体厚度增加、云顶温度急剧下降以及云顶相态变化等。主要采用RDT算法检测对流初生和快速发展的对流云。葵花8号卫星的对流初生产品，时间频率10分钟，空间分辨率2km。

Convective Initiation (CI) refers to pixels on satellite imagery where the Doppler weather radar first detects reflectivity factor ≥35 dBz generated by convective clouds. The occurrence of CI is mainly characterized by increased cloud thickness, sharp decline in cloud-top temperature, and changes in cloud-top phase state, among others. The RDT algorithm is primarily used to detect CI and rapidly developing convective clouds. The CI products from the Himawari-8 satellite have a temporal resolution of 10 minutes and a spatial resolution of 2 km.
