Somers Camp - Biodiversity and Native Revegetation Project

This project will rehabilitate 2 hectares of vegetation within the Merricks Creek catchment area which is a highly sensitive environmental system, currently impacted by erosion and proliferation of introduced species. The property is located nearby the Coolart Wetlands, making the Somers camp site an important native flora and fauna corridor. The project will be implemented by volunteers who will also support community awareness raising activities.

本项目将对梅里克溪（Merricks Creek）集水区内的2公顷植被开展生态修复工作。该区域为高度敏感的环境系统，目前正遭受土壤侵蚀与外来物种扩散的双重影响。该修复地块毗邻库拉特湿地（Coolart Wetlands），使得萨默斯营地（Somers camp site）成为重要的本土动植物廊道。本项目将由志愿者团队负责实施，同时志愿者还将协助开展社区环境意识提升活动。
