Spatial distribution of sighting frequency of fishing gears in the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia (PNMTIAG) in Galicia (Spain)

This file contains data of spatial distribution of sighting frequency (%) of fishing gears (passive-fears) or vessels (non-pasive-gears) in the PNMTIAG. Data have been calculated between 2016 and 2017 by mean of a stratified random sampling in three of the four archipelagos included in the park (Sálvora, Ons and Cíes). In the case of the Cortegada archipelago, given the smaller size of its marine area, a census was carried out over its entire surface for both passive fishing sets of gears and non-passive fishing vessels. More methodological details are exposed in Parada and Nieto (2024) (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rsma.2024.103435). The data set includes all the gears of artisanal fisheries employed in the park, excluding selfish fisheries (Except in Cortegada because of the great importance of Manual clam rake): Large-mesh trammel nets, Hoop nets, Spider crab pot, Velvet crab pots, Octopus pots, Cuttlefish pot, Handline, Bottom longlines, Set longlines, Manual clam rake, Trawl clam rake, Small-mesh trammel nets Large-bottom gillnet, Small-bottom gillnet, Set gillnets, Small purse seine-trawl, Sport fishing (not allowed into de park) and Crab hook. The file is structured in eight columns: Grid, the name of the 500 x 500 m grid in which the maritime area of the park have been divided for sampling propose (see Parada (2024); doi.org/ 10.5281/zenodo.10466820); Archip, the archipelago; Gear, the name of the gear; Arte, Spanish name of the gear; Frec_Use(%), sighting frequency in each grid; X, longitude of the centroid of the grid; Y, latitude of the centroid of the grid; CRS, Coordinate Reference System for X and Y.

本数据集包含PNMTIAG范围内被动渔具或主动作业船只的目击频率（%）空间分布数据。相关数据于2016至2017年间采用分层随机抽样方法计算生成，采样覆盖该保护区四座群岛中的三座（萨尔沃拉（Sálvora）、翁斯（Ons）与西埃斯（Cíes））。

本数据集涵盖该保护区内所有使用的手工渔业渔具，不包含自用捕捞渔业（科尔特加达群岛除外，因手动挖蛤耙在当地具有重要应用价值），具体包括：大目三层刺网、圈网、蜘蛛蟹笼、绒螯蟹笼、章鱼笼、乌贼笼、手钓线、底延绳钓、定置延绳钓、手动挖蛤耙、拖网式挖蛤耙、小目三层刺网、大型底层刺网、小型底层刺网、定置刺网、小型围拖网、休闲垂钓（该保护区内禁止此类活动）以及蟹钩。
本数据文件共包含8列数据：
1. Grid（网格编号）：为便于采样研究，将保护区海域划分为500m×500m的网格单元，此列为对应网格的名称（详见Parada（2024），DOI：https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10466820）；
2. Archip（群岛名称）：对应网格所属的群岛；
3. Gear（渔具英文名称）：渔具的英文名称；
4. Arte（渔具西班牙文名称）：渔具的西班牙语名称；
5. Frec_Use(%)（使用频率%）：对应网格内的渔具目击频率；
6. X：对应网格质心的经度坐标；
7. Y：对应网格质心的纬度坐标；
8. CRS：X与Y坐标所采用的坐标参考系（Coordinate Reference System）。
